Prayer

* We believe that prayer is vital to our relationship journey with God.  When we pray, we are praising God for journeying with us through difficult and joyful times, we are asking for guidance, and we are claiming victory over illness or terrible situations.  We are also acknowledging that we cannot traverse through these life circumstances alone, and we are leaning on the strength that comes from God to get us through.

* We also believe that community prayer is important as we learn to uplift and encourage one another, and Christ encourages us, that we are never alone.  This prayer page is updated at least monthly.  However, for a more immediate list of prayer requests, please join our closed Facebook group called "Port Glasgow Church of the Nazarene."

Port Nazarene Prayer Requests and Praises

PRAYER: CoronaVirus  Please pray for our NHS workers and front line staff involved in helping to fight this global pandemic.  Pray for all our families in particular those who are vulnerable and have underlying health conditions.   Please pray for those who have the virus.

PRAYER: Please keep our church board in your prayers as they try to find God's man or woman to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of our previous pastor and friend Ian Stewart, and his wife Kathy. We are also grateful to Pastor Tim Burton and his wife Aroha originally of our Houston church for stepping in as our interim Pastors, but have now returned to the homeland of Australia. Pastor Andrew Purdy is holding the fort until a new Pastor is found.

PRAYER: Please continue to lift all our mature and ill members in prayer.  Specifically, we remember Hugh and Betty Boyland, Ian and Ina Miller, Mary and Alex Marshall, and Agnes Kay. New life is coming to our fellowship as Kerri and Kevin bring their first child Daisy along, and Sharon and Andrew bring their new daughter Kathryn. We are thankful for new growth, and trust and pray for safe and healthy families.
